“Moving Walls” is one project within NITE, a collaborative research project funded by HERA (Humanities in the European Research Area). The goal is to understand how migrant communities use the city at night and create venues to facilitate migrant visibility and suggest future public policy. Nightclubs, delivery services, remembering “home” or just hanging out all take up space. Such migrant presence is a source of pride, livelihood and state concern. Cities include: Aarhus, Amsterdam, Berlin, Cork, Galway, Lisbon, London and Rotterdam. For more information on the HERA project, please go here.
